NIU ATLAS GRID Tier 3 facility

Introduction

The NIU T3 farm has been built via Tier 3g (T3g) Setup Guide CERN tutorial.
Access to the interactive node (t3int0.nicadd.niu.edu) is via NICADD cluster account.

Hardware

Updated Jan 2015:
Head(pk2head) :: 16GB RAM, 8 cores Intel E5410 @ 2.33GHz.
NFS(pt3nfs) :: 32GB RAM, 8 cores Intel E5620 @ 2.40GHz, 19TB RAID6 (/xdata)
NFS1(pt3nfs1) :: 32GB RAM, 8 cores Intel E5410 @ 2.33GHz, 18TB RAID6 (/bdata)
Interactive(pt3int0) :: 96GB RAM, 32 cores AMD @ 2.3GHz (t3int0.nicadd.niu.edu)
Worker nodes(pt3wrk0-pt3wrk4) :: 176 batch slots ~2.1-2.3GHz, 1.5-2GB RAM/slot, 328 RAM GB total, 16 TB scratch
Additionally, 420 batch slots from NICADD cluster are also available ATLAS analyses (but with lower priorities).
